Cards for study and everyday jobs
Flashcards remain one of the most effective ways to learn vocabulary, formulas and facts, because testing yourself beats rereading. Index cards hold recipes, speech notes and study summaries. Small labels and tags organise boxes, jars and gifts. All of them start as a sheet with neat cut lines.
Sizes
Flashcards. 10 or 12 per page, sized to fill the sheet.
Index cards. 3 × 5 and 4 × 6 inches, the standard sizes.
Business-card blanks. 3.5 × 2 inches for name cards and loyalty cards.
Labels and tags. 2 × 4 inch and 1 × 2 5/8 inch labels, and 2 × 3 inch gift tags.
Study tip
Shuffle your cards and sort them into “know” and “not yet” piles. Review the “not yet” pile more often: spacing out reviews of the hard cards is what makes flashcards work.
Printing tips
Print at 100% / Actual size. Cut along the dashed lines with a guillotine or a craft knife and ruler.

Frequently asked questions
Can I print flashcards with my own words?
Yes. Type one card per line, front | back, under Your flashcards, and the PDF prints fronts and mirrored backs that line up when printed double-sided, or fold-over cards. The flashcard maker has an example set ready.
How many flashcards fit on a page?
Ten (2 × 5) or twelve (3 × 4), each card filling an equal share of the printable area.
Are the index cards true size?
Yes. The 3 × 5 and 4 × 6 inch cards are drawn at exact size; three 3 × 5 cards fit on a Letter or A4 page.
Will these line up with commercial label sheets?
Not necessarily. Label sheets have exact layouts that vary by manufacturer and product, so these are designed for cutting from plain paper or card. Check the layout of your label sheet before printing on it.
Can I add lines for writing?
Yes, Writing lines on each card adds lines inside every card.
How do I make double-sided flashcards?
Write the question on one side and the answer on the other after cutting, or print two sheets, write on both, and glue them back to back before cutting.
What paper should I use?
Card stock of about 160 to 250 g/m² makes durable flashcards and tags; normal paper is fine for quick revision cards.
