We want PrintablePapers to work for everyone, including people who use a keyboard instead of a mouse, a screen reader, screen magnification or high-contrast settings. As our checklist we use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, the international standard that most accessibility laws refer to.
What we do
- Our main pages are tested with an automated accessibility checker (axe) against WCAG 2.2 AA, in light and dark mode and at phone and desktop widths. They passed when last checked in October 2026.
- The generator can be used with a keyboard, and the control that has focus shows a clear outline.
- Text and controls meet the WCAG colour-contrast minimums in light and dark mode.
- Buttons and other controls are at least 24 pixels across, the WCAG minimum, and the main controls are larger.
- Sheet previews have a text equivalent: the specification table lists exactly what will print.
- Animations are switched off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- Keyboard shortcuts: Ctrl/⌘+Z undo, Shift+⌘+Z redo, ⌘+P prints the true-size PDF.
Known limitations
Automated checks do not catch everything, and the site has not yet had a full manual review by an accessibility specialist. The sheet preview itself is a drawing; we describe it in text, but we are always looking for better ways to convey layout. If something doesn't work for you, please email us and we will fix it or find a workaround.
