Tags for every occasion
Handmade tags finish a present nicely and cost almost nothing. This sheet gives you nine identical blank tags, sized for most gifts and jars, which you can decorate with stamps, washi tape, stickers or drawings before cutting them out.
Ideas
- Holiday presents: write To and From on the lined variation; punch and tie with ribbon.
- Jars and preserves: contents and date, tied around the neck of the jar.
- Party favours: a guest’s name on each tag doubles as a place card.
- Kids’ crafts: blank tags for children to decorate for family presents.
- Shop and market labels: prices or care instructions on handmade goods.
Cutting neatly
Cut along the dashed lines with a guillotine or a craft knife and metal ruler. Rounding the corners with a corner punch, or snipping the two corners of one end to make a classic tag point, gives a finished look.
For matching stationery, see the A7 envelope template; for gift boxes, the box template.
Printing
Print at 100% / Actual size so the tags are exactly 2 × 3 inches.

Frequently asked questions
How many tags are on a sheet?
Nine 2 × 3 inch tags on Letter or A4, in three rows of three, with dashed lines to cut along.
How do I attach them?
Punch a hole near one short end with a standard hole punch and thread ribbon, twine or string through it. For a sturdier hole, add a reinforcement ring.
Can I print a design on them?
The tags print blank so you can decorate them with stamps, stickers or drawings. To print a design, run the printed sheet through your printer again with your artwork.
What paper should I use?
Card stock (200–300 gsm) makes tags that hold their shape. Kraft card looks rustic; white card is best for colourful decorations.
