The school year on one sheet
Teachers, students and parents plan in school years, not calendar years. This page puts every month from August 2026 to July 2027 on one landscape sheet, so you can see the whole year at once: when terms start and end, where the holidays fall, how many weeks there are until exams.
Marking it up
- Terms: highlight first and last days in one colour and shade the holidays in another.
- Assessments: circle exam and coursework deadlines, and count the weeks between them.
- Events: parents’ evenings, trips, sports days and performances.
- Personal: birthdays and family holidays alongside the school dates.
With week numbers turned on, each week shows its ISO number, which many European schools and universities use for timetables.
Layout choices
US school districts often start in August; the UK, much of Europe and many other countries start in September. Choose the variation that matches your year. For the following year, see the 2027–2028 academic calendar; for a month per page, use the 2026 and 2027 calendars.
Printing
Print in landscape at 100% / Actual size. For a staff room or classroom wall, choose Tabloid or A3 as the paper size; the calendar scales up to fill the page.

Frequently asked questions
Which months does it cover?
August 2026 to July 2027 by default, or September 2026 to August 2027 with the September variation.
Is there a leap day in the 2026–27 school year?
No. February 2027 has 28 days; the next leap day is 29 February 2028, in the following school year.
What day does September 2026 start on?
1 September 2026 is a Tuesday, and 1 August 2026 is a Saturday.
Can I still use it mid-year?
Yes. It covers the whole school year, so it remains useful for planning the remaining terms, exams and holidays through to summer 2027.
