Pack once, forget nothing
A written packing list beats memory because it does the remembering in advance, when you are calm, rather than at midnight before an early flight. Tick each item as it goes into the bag, and keep the list for the return trip.
Make it fit your trip
The list starts with the things that are hardest to replace (documents, medicines, glasses) and ends with the comforts. Edit it before printing:
- Beach: add swimwear, a towel, flip-flops and a hat.
- Winter: add thermals, gloves, a scarf and lip balm.
- Business: add a laptop and charger, a suit and a notebook.
- Children: a separate copy each, with a favourite toy and a comfort blanket.
Tips
- Lay everything out on the bed first and tick it off the list, then pack.
- Put a copy in the suitcase, so the return packing is quicker and nothing is left behind.
- Keep a master list on your phone or a saved link, so each trip starts from your last one.
Printing tips
Print at 100% on Letter or A4. The two-column layout fits the full list on one page; choose one column with larger lines if you prefer to write additions by hand.

Frequently asked questions
What is on this packing list?
Documents, clothes, toiletries, tech and bag essentials, 29 items in five sections, with spare lines at the end. Edit the Items box to add or remove anything.
Can I make one list per person?
Yes. Change the title to each person's name and print a copy each, or remove items that only one person needs before printing.
How do I add my own items?
Type them on new lines in the Items box. Lines starting with # become headings, such as "# Beach" or "# Ski gear".
Should I check airline liquid rules?
Yes. Hand luggage liquid limits differ by airport and change over time, so check your airline and departure airport before you pack toiletries in a cabin bag.
